I would not hesitate to say that Café Europa is my absolute favorite coffee shop in all of Colorado. I love the vibe this place gives off. It’s right in Wash Park, and yet there’s nothing yuppie about it. All types mingle here; students, hipsters, area residents, older folks reading the paper. Your pup is welcome out on the patio in the summer. The old brick walls are lined with paintings for sale from local artists. The bric-a-brac furnishings are well-used and comfy.
Everything here is homemade and high-quality coffee is served in big glass mugs. Breakfast is delish, fast, and filling at $7 for a plate of eggs, toast and bacon. Unlike the overhyped and overcrowded Lucille’s down the street, you can actually get a table at Europa on a Saturday morning without feeling pressured to leave as you choke down a latte. Everyone here is taking their time and enjoying each other’s company, temporarily forgetting fast-paced city life.
For phenomenal coffee, yummy pastries and food and comfortable surroundings, give Café Europa a try!
