General Manager Clyde Lay, of Zi Fusion, is excited about this swanky new Englewood restaurant, and as soon as you walk in, it's easy to see why.  "Nowhere else in this neighborhood will you find such great deals on happy hour", he tells me.  "Not with the quality of wine and this atmosphere; not this close to Greenwood Village."  Indeed, the remodeled space is clean and modern, yet cozy, tastefully done, and - in a classy neighborhood like Greenwood Village - it fits right in.  Yet from 3 - 7 p.m. everyday, you can get a generous pour of good wine for $3.  There is a wide selection of tasty appetizers on happy hour as well, and live music three nights a week - Thursday through Saturday.

We sampled an array of Asian dishes, all very colorful and well-presented.  The fried grean beans were delighful; salty, crisp and full of tiny crystallized bits of fried garlic.  The basil chicken came to the table steaming, bright and flavorful, scented with Thai basil throughout.  The most impressive dish by far was the Korean noodle bowl, which boasts three types of protein - shrimp, chicken, and top-round beef.  The marriage of the spicy red broth and starchy soba noodles with the super tender bits of beef is pure heaven.  We ate long past being full.  To top it all off, I managed to find room to devour a slice of triple-chocolate cake: a bit dry, but nonetheless rich and yummy.

Zi was hopping on this Friday night; a bit of an older crowd, but there was also a good mix of the young professionals who'd wondered in for happy hour after a long week in the office and an occasional family out to dine.  Attentive service, inventive dishes and a warm, relaxing atmosphere make Zi Fusion an essential stop on your way through the Denver Tech Center.  It's easy to miss, as it is tucked away in a quiet section of buildings and hotels along Clinton Street just off of I-25, near Landry's Seafood.  But trust me, it's well worth seeking out.
