Trios Enoteca is just the place to relax with a glass of wine. This wine bar is cozy, dark and stylish, with a gleaming metal bar, and the soft glow of lamp light everywhere. Black leather couches are available for kicking back and listening to the live local acts that play here almost daily, typically jazz and blues (Tues - Thurs, 7 pm; Fri - Sat, 9 pm). Right away you can tell they're all about the wine; bottles stand in the glass dispensing case that runs the length of the bar, and there are wine glasses on display everywhere.

First things first, Natosha Gottier, the in-house sommelier, hands me the wine list - or rather book - to look over.  The word enoteca broken down is: ['eno'] - wine ['teca'] - library, and they truly live up to the name.  Among the wines we sampled: verdejo, a crisp, light varietal from Spain; reisling, a sweet, clear grape with very high acidity; and gewurztraminer, my favorite, which boasted a heavily floral scent and smooth finish.  The wines were heavenly...

The pizza was incredible.  Trios literally has the best pizza I have EVER tasted.  We got two varieties, the #1, pancetta and pepperoni and #4, artichoke, garlic and feta.  The sauce on the pepperoni pizza was spicy and savory and the garlic on the second pizza was perfect with light olive oil pesto and red pepper flakes.  But the thing that really makes this pie is the crust, which is both flaky and chewy.  Natosha informed us that this is because the chef cold-rises the dough.  These pizzas are the perfect size for an individual, and are half off along with wines by the glass during happy hour (Tues - Fri, 5 - 7 pm)!

Trios Enoteca combines a warm and comfortable environment with rich wines and delicious food.  The happy hour is a terrific bargain and the live music that follows always features genuinely talented musicians.  This is the sort of thing I'd like to see more of in LoDo.
